Sisters, Cat, seven, and Tanya, nine, want to play with the neighbor boys, Brown Cloud, Chief and Burps-Like-Thunder who have their Grandma's authentic teepee. The boys won't accept the girls, insisting they are a boys only club with preferences for real natives and not pale-faced females. Grandma insists the boys be polite, so they create three tribal tests, the girls must pass to be accepted into the tribe. The girls outwit the boys to win all three tests. The boys suspect the girls cheated to win, but can't prove anything. In desperation the boys take the girls on a hike in the woods, planning to abandon the girls to scare them away once and for all. But before the boys put their plan in action, the group stumbles across a starving horse. The kids unite to save the animal using the very skills they practiced for the three tribal tests.
