Buz Williams worked 29 years in the Long Beach (California) Police Department from January, 1974 until December, 2002 as a police officer, detective, sergeant and detective sergeant in Patrol, Booking, Vice Investigations, Auto Theft, Gang Detectives, Gang Enforcement, and Juvenile. He also served on the Long Beach Police Officers Association as Director, Secretary, Vice President and editor of their magazine, The Rap Sheet.
