Theodore Hightower is the richest man in the world. He is on a business trip and misses his five year old daughters birthday party which was not supposed to be a big deal. She is his angel and he only lives for her now. Louis Cletus Johnson is one of the most famous African-American preachers in the country. Once the darling of Wall Street, known as the RockStar, he gives it all up to take over his father's church in a prominent community in Houston. And he grows the church to be one of the largest megachurches in the country. They both face tragedy early in their lives. But they keep building their empires not knowing that they are exactly alike in so many ways yet they are traveling two different paths.
