Letters from the Yukon
Letters from the Yukon begins with the author's first letter after she and her husband buy a cabin, sight unseen, in the small village of Ruby, Alaska, on the banks of the Yukon River. After picking up stakes, they head north for a once in a lifetime adventure. Letters spanning the next decade describe their lives filled with wilderness, weather, sled dogs, characters, politics, life and death, and adventures along the Yukon.
