John M. Wills served two years in the Army and then spent twelve years as a Chicago police officer. He left Chicago to become an FBI agent, and served twenty-one years in that capacity. He is an award-winning author whose credits include more than 150 published articles regarding police officer training and safety; ten books, both fiction and non-fiction; and various poems and short stories published in several anthologies. John also writes video scripts for The William McLain Foundation in Atlanta, honoring military and first responders killed in the line of duty. An avid reader, he writes book reviews for the New York Journal of Books and is a member of the National Book Critics Circle.
