If you've ever felt left out wishing, you were invited, you'll be warmed by this grace-filled story of Prince Mephibosheth, the grandson of the first king of Israel. His story can be our story. Like Him we each have been dropped by someone, somewhere, at sometime. He survived a fall and we too have survived The Fall of humankind. We are imperfect, but we are perfectly loved because we are God's child. He wants to heals our hurts, remove our shame and calm our fears. Like Mephibosheth we don't need to hide in a low place like Lo-debar because our King wants to raise us high. We are invited to the King's table.

There the tablecloth of grace covers our crippled lives like the table covered his crippled legs. If you've ever been hurt by rejection or loneliness, you'll discover from his story that our King is both faithful and forgiving. Best of all, He is trustworthy. Me-phib-o-sheth had a hard name to pronounce and he had hard breaks. And maybe you've had hard breaks. Maybe you too need mercy and grace. Don't we all? When I look at Me-phib-o-sheth, I see me?.and you! We are beloved heirs who have been given a royal robe and asked to eat with our King.
