His books have been translated into dozens of languages and have been adapted for the screen. When he is not writing and researching, Wohlleben manages a sustainable forest academy in Germany. Pierre L. Ibisch is a biologist who holds a professorship in the Socioecology of Forest Ecosystems at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, Germany. He founded a pioneering study program in Socioecological Forest Management. Ibisch has 35 years' experience working in ecosystem management and conservation around the world. Having lived in the tropics for a decade, he has a strong background in tropical biodiversity.
