In this work, we follow Giotto's path to greatness and the unique legacy he left behind. Richly illustrated pages trace his career across Italy and survey all his major surviving works, from the fresco cycle in the Upper Church of San Francesco in Assisi to the astonishing Arena Chapel in Padua.
