Martin Wong is the president of Xin Yuan Community Care, a Singapore charity with the Institute of Public Character status that plugs the social and financial welfare gaps among the needy children, youth, and elderly in the community.He has a doctoral degree from Southwest State University, Russian Federation, and has more than twenty years of experience with the community, grassroots, social enterprises, and charities. Due to his extensive contributions to the community, Martin was awarded the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat, public service medal by the President of Singapore in 2016.Apart from managing a mushroom farming business in China, he volunteers avidly in Singapore in different capacities with the Community Mediation Centre, Ministry of Law, Ministry of Social and Family Development, Singapore Mediation Centre, Singapore Police Force, Singapore Children's Society, State Courts, and People's Association.Martin believes in giving back to society as he applies his business acumen to entrench the charity organization to render more effective outreach to the disadvantaged in the community.Martin lives in Singapore with his wife and family.
