Elli Woollard turned to writing after an embarrassing incident in which her youngest son broke Michael Rosen's glasses. She is now the author of several books, including Little Bear's Spring, Little Goose's Autumn, The Dragon and the Nibblesome Knight, The Great Gran Plan, The Adventures of Swashbuckle Lil and a rhyming re-told edition of Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories. After spending many years in Thailand, where she missed the changing seasons, she now lives in London, England, with her husband, four children, and a mad cat. In the Spring, she loves to go to the park, where she runs through the daffodils and watches the ducklings and goslings on the lake. Marta Altés is the award-winning creator of Five More Minutes, Little Monkey, The King Cat, My Grandpa, I Am An Artist!, and My New Home. She loves to tell stories and her love of illustration saw her study for a degree in Graphic Design in Barcelona. Marta moved to the UK to study for an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art (the best decision she ever made!) and graduated in 2011. Since then, Marta has won numerous awards for her picture books, including the Read It Again! Award, Nottingham Children's Book Award, and the Ezra Jack Keats New Illustrator Honour.
She has been nominated twice for the CILIP Kate Greenaway Award, and shortlisted for both the Peoples Book Prize and the Waterstones Picture Book Prize. Marta lives in London, England.
