Vitae (Robert C. Wrede)I received my undergraduate and masters degrees from Miami University (Ohio) and my Ph.D. in 1956 from Indiana University. I taught at Miami as a Teaching Assistant and then as an Instructor. At Indiana University I was responsible for two courses a semester and was appointed as a Teaching Fellow for one Summer. From 1955-1994. I was a Professor of Mathematics at San Jose State University where I conducted both undergraduate and graduate courses.
Also, I was the Masters Degree thesis advisor for approximately twenty students.My text "Introduction to Vector and Tensor Analysis" was first published by John Wiley & Sons (and presently is available in paperback from Dover Publications). In 2002 I authored the Second Edition of Schaum's Outlines - Advanced Calculus, McGraw Hill. (The First Edition was written by Murray Spiegel.).
