In this, the sequel to An Italian Home - settling by Lake Como, English artist Paul Wright and his wife, Nicola have moved north to the prosperous, unspoilt village of Argegno. With the no-nonsense approach to life prevalent in his native Liverpool, Wright describes the adventures he has had in the course of his work of painting murals in the homes of the wealthy, getting a first hand insight into the psyche of the modern Italian male as he does so. Often, when he takes time out he joins a group of local retired villagers, to unearth the local gossip, discovering a few home truths about the older generation in the process.
