Helen H. Wu, was born and raised in Hefei, China. Helen took private lessons and studied drawing for more than ten years beginning at age six. She attended college in Beijing majoring in economics, after that she came to the United States to study applied economics. During her school days Helen traveled to many places in Asia, Europe and North America. These journeys exposed her to various cultures and arts, while providing inspiration for her artistic creativity. After graduation she was supposed to find a more "practical" job however her love of art just wouldn't let her go. She self-taught herself graphic design and opened a design studio.

Helen started to illustrate children's book in 2011. Currently she is a freelance artist living in Atlanta GA, with her family and a lab pup."As a graphic designer, fine art painter, children's book illustrator and writer, art in a whole is a dreamy world to me, expansive, expressive, and timeless. I enjoy exploring various styles, including watercolor, acrylic, pen and ink, pencil, digital and mixed media. My artworks are inspired by the unique elements of everyday life, from my Labrador pup Bear, to the amazing people I met, the nature itself, as well as novels I read, movies I watched and music I listened to.
