Jie Wu , an ethnic Mongolian born in 1934 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, is a researcher, a professor and an expert on system science and system philosophy. Professor Jie Wu was a member of the National Committee of the Ninth and Tenth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a deputy to the Eighth National People's Congress (NPC) and a member of the Environmental and Resources Committee of the Eighth NPC. He also served as the president of Deng Xiaoping's Thought Research Association (Beijing), the president of China Institute of System Science and the vice president of China Society of Economic Reform. He is the adjunct professor of more than 20 colleges and universities such as Peking University and Fudan University. He is also the director of the China System Philosophy Research Center of Inner Mongolia University, the director of the China System Philosophy Research Center of Shenzhen University and the director of the China System Philosophy Research Center of Taiyuan University of Science and Technology. His main works include: Harmonious Society and System Paradigm, Systematic Dialectics (translated and published in English), Overall Management Theory, Theory of Deng Xiaoping's Thought (the 1993 national bestseller and translated and published in English and Russian), Urban Management Theory, Systems Philosophy, Mathematical Principles of Systems Philosophy and Road of No Return. He also co-authored Intercontinental Dialogue with H. Haken (Germany) and E.


Laszlo (USA), and edited Systematic Thought of Marxism and Economic Globalization and National Development.
