Uncle Three is nowhere to be found and to make matters worse, there's convincing evidence that he may be a liar and a killer. Exhausted and discouraged, his nephew decides to abandon the family business of robbing ancient graves with the intention of resuming the life of an honest man. Then his childhood friend emerges from prison with a scheme that promises treasure and adventure-along with the possibility of finding Uncle Three. Without the help of Fats or Poker-face, this new expedition proves to be more perilous than the cavern of the blood zombies and the shifting tunnels of the undersea tomb rolled into one. Savage monkeys with a tendency toward kleptomania, gigantic rats who hunger for human flesh, a band of rival grave robbers who believe murder is a justiable step to take when trying to achieve success, and a mysterious bronze tree that conceals deadly secrets are only a few of the reasons why this quest becomes a torturous undertaking. Who will come back alive? Bronze Tree of Death carries on the saga of Cavern of the Blood Zombies and Angry Sea, Hidden Sands, the third volume of a series that has jumpstarted imaginations and turned dreams into nightmares on two continents. Once again Xu Lei has created a riveting blend of horror, history, and high adventure, which will soon be continued in Palace of Doom, the fourth volume of The Grave Robbers' Chronicles.
