A collection of funny/sad interconnected stories about contemporary gay relationships, from Grindr hookups to ex-boyfriend trysts to #FindMeAHusband hashtags. Characters weave in and out of the stories, in which lonely gay boys bake pies, see their therapists, and engage in superficial casual contacts online and in bars, clubs and coffee shops; their quirks reveal their quiet dysfunction in their 21st-century quest for love and affection in a cold, cold world. Daniel Zomparelli has published two poetry books; this is his first work of fiction. He is editor-in-chief of the acclaimed Canadian magazine Poetry Is Dead, and is a champion of offbeat writers and poets through his blog Can't Lit. In Daniel's words: "I wanted to write a book about gay boys going through the dating experience. I wanted to show how queer men interact with each other, in a fun way but also one that references the psychology of growing up queer and damaged, and dealing with all that while still trying to find love."
