Madalin Jackson Bickel writing as m. e Jackson is a 1968 graduate of Marshall University. Her MA is in Gifted Education. She spent over forty years teaching elementary and middle school students. Madalin served as an adjunct teacher in Education Foundations at Marshall University in the 1990's. Her first published work was 'Discovering Astronomy.' An award winning writer, she has had short stories and poems published in a variety of anthologies and on-line journals. Notes From a Failed World is her second collection of poems.

She is currently working on her first novel. Madalin has two grown children and one outstanding grandson. Having left West Virginia in 2003, she now resides in Virginia.
