Ms. Javaria Zafar has completed her M.Phil. Biotechnology from Government College University (GCU) Lahore with a research dissertation on "Improved catalytic efficiency of bacterial glutamic acid decarboxylase by immobilization on mesoporous silica nanoparticles for stability in the gamma;-aminobutyric acid synthesis." This research aimed to provide the basis for the rational drug development of Alzheimer's disease to restore the level of GABA in the brain. She has published five research and review articles in reputable international journals with an impact of 13. Being a part of the STEM fraternity, she is dedicated to ensuring a healthy life and an inclusive work ecosystem for women in Pakistan. For this purpose, she has recently joined the UNDP's Mover's Program as a Facilitator to work on gender disparity and climate justice in Pakistan.
In a nutshell, she has the vision to advocate for and contribute to the SDGs on a national and international scale.
