Azizur Rahman graduated cum laude with a degree in B.Sc. in 2003, M.Sc. in 2009, and was awarded his Ph.D. in 2017. With an extensive background in Ergonomics and Human Factors, he served as a Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, before his current role at RMIT University.
He also has significant industry experience, having worked as a consultant in various sectors including construction, thermal power, pharmaceuticals, and health care across multiple countries. As a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA), Dr. Rahman's research focuses on reducing musculoskeletal disorder risks in workplaces, designing biomechanically feasible ergonomic tools, and applying virtual reality to enhance ergonomic design and users' experiences. He has contributed to numerous scholarly publications and has been actively involved in academic leadership, including serving as the head of the Department at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh. Dr. Rahman holds a PhD in ergonomics and human factors from Swinburne University of Technology, where he also completed a Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching. He is recognized for his contributions to ergonomics and human factors with multiple awards and grants, underscoring his commitment to enhancing safety and health standards globally.
