Dr Andrea Peloso graduated from the University of Pavia in Italy. From the start, he had a vision of a dual clinical and research career, and pursued a PhD in Experimental surgery and Microsurgery, before a post-doctoral 18-month research at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, focusing his research on regenerative medicine and organ bioengineering applied to general surgery and solid organ transplantation.After his training he moved to the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where he now has an academic appointment as Privat Docent. Since 2017, he's been training as an abdominal surgeon and then as a more specialized surgeon dedicated to the management of liver and pancreas diseases through surgery of transplantation.Dr. Peloso has published more than 100 papers. He has received several awards both locally and internationally and has been supported by various institutions including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Swiss National Science Foundation.
