First published in 1970, Recreation Research and Planning brings together some of the pioneering work done in Britain in response to the problems that have arisen from the growth of mass recreation since 1955. In an age of intense and increasingly competitive demand for land and natural resources for a variety of purposes, of which recreation is perhaps one of the fastest growing, the need for research and planning is essential.
