Dr Beata Kaczmarek-Szczepaoska is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomaterials and Cosmetic Chemistry, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Torun, Poland. She has published more than 85 scientific papers in internationally-recognised journals She coordinated project financed by National Science Center titled "Design, synthesis and characterization of materials properties based on natural polymers with the addition of glycosaminoglycans isolated from wastes of food industry" (till 2019), project financed by the National Centre for Research and Development, titled ,,Glycosaminoglycans and collagen lyophilisate from fish skin for biomedical application" (till 2023), project "Biopolymers with antimicrobial properties" and "The preparation of natural preservation system based on tannic acid and gallic acid" with the financial support by NCU. She completed several internships (in Ireland, Serbia, India, Jagiellonian University in Krakow). She was awarded by Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in "Welconomy in Toruo 2021" forum meeting for their achievements and got a scholarship of Minister of Science and Higher Education.
