Dr.Yashas Gowda. T G. received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering in the year 2014 and received his M.Tech (Machine Design) from SJB Institute of Technology, under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India in the year 2016. He obtained a Ph.D. degree from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB).

He is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan. He has published more than 25 articles in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals, 9 book Chapters, 1 book (Editor), and presented research papers at national/international conferences. Also, He has worked as an organization committee member for 3 International Conferences organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan.His current research areas include Natural fiber composites, Tribology of Composite Materials and Polymer composites. He is recognized by Stanford University's list of the world's Top 2% of the Most-Cited Scientists in Single Year Citation Impact 2022.
