Prof. R. Gnanamoorthyis currently the Sr. Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras, a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (FNAE), and the Ace Microsmatic Institute chair professor, IITM. Prof Gnanamoorthy works on the area of architected and sustainable material basically from agro waste, design and development of simulators for implant simulated tests, bio-tribology, custom and integrated additive manufacturing, advanced and bio-polymers, and mechanical behaviour of materials including tribology, fatigue, and fracture. He has published over 250 papers in reputed international journals and conferences and guided more than 30 research scholars in doctoral and master''s level. He holds a few patents on development of novel processes and additive manufacturing. He serves as a specially appointed professor and expert panel member for the Gigaku Sustainable Development Goals of Nagaoka University of Technology Japan.
Prof. M. Kamaraj is currently a professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), Chennai, India. Recently Prof. Kamaraj established Cold Spray Technology at IIT Madras (SMART Lab) in collaboration with General Electric (GE) Bangalore. He has more than 25 years of research and industrial experience in surface engineering, tribology, and mechanical behaviour of materials. Prof. Kamaraj has 254 publications, which include peer-reviewed journal articles (196), international conference proceedings (58), and book chapters (4).
