Dr. Yi Yu is a researcher specializing in system modeling and control, with a particular focus on renewable energy power systems. He has contributed to over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles,emphasizing a methodical and analytical approach to addressing engineering challenges. Dr. Yu was recognized with the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award from Chinese Association of Automation in 2023. He also served as a Session Chair at the 10th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Application (PESA 2024). Prof. Guo-Ping Liu is a chair professor with the Southern University of Science and Technology, China.


He has authored and co-authored ten books and over 400 journal papers on control systems. He served as the General Chair of the 2007 IEEE International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control, the 2011 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing, and the 2012 UKACC International Conference on Control. Prof. Liu served as an Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Automation and Computing from 2004 to 2021. He is a member of the Academy of Europe, and a Fellow of IEEE, IET and CAA. Prof. Josep M. Guerrero is a Distinguished Senior Researcher at the department of electrical engineering, University of Valladolid, Spain.


Since 2011, he has been a Full Professor with AAU Energy, Aalborg University, Denmark. From 2019, he became a Villum Investigator by the Villum Fonden, which supports the Center for Research on Microgrids (CROM) at Aalborg University, being the founder and Director of the same center. From 2023 to 2024 he was with the Technical University of Catalonia as an ICREA Research Professor. He is an Associate Editor for several IEEE TRANSAC TIONS. He has published more than 1,000 journal papers in the fields of microgrids and renewable energy systems, which are cited more than 120,000 times. During nine consecutive years, from 2014 to 2023, he was awarded by Clarivate Analytics as Highly Cited Researcher. From 2020 to 2024 he was listed in the world's top 2% scientist by Standford/Elsevier. In 2021, he received the IEEE Bimal Bose Award for Industrial Electronics Applications in Energy Systems, for his pioneering contributions to renewable energy based microgrids.


In 2022, he received the IEEE PES Douglas M. Staszesky Distribution Automation Award, for contributions to making the hierarchical control of microgrid systems a practical reality. In 2023, he was the IEEE Modeling and Control Technical Achievement Award recipient for contributions to modelling and control of power electronics based microgrids. In 2024 he received the CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems Excellent Paper Award. He is a Fellow of IEEE.
