Dr. Dilber Uzun Ozsahin is an accomplished Associate Professor in the Medical Diagnostic Imaging Department of the College of Health Science at the University of Sharjah. Her academic journey began with a Physics degree from Çukurova University in 2006, followed by valuable research experience at CERN, Geneva for her master's thesis. She went on to earn her PhD in Medical Imaging for Breast Cancer from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in 2014. Dr. Ozsahin's post-doctoral research at the Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Medical School further honed her expertise. Previously, she held the position of Associate Professor at the Near East University, where she led a groundbreaking research group that pioneered the application of operational research tools to address biomedical and medical challenges. Her exceptional rankings in the AD scientific index underscore her prominence, placing her among the top researchers worldwide in Natural Science, Artificial Intelligence for Medical Imaging, and Decision Theory for Medical Imaging Additionally, she serves as the Director of the Operational Research Centre in Healthcare at the Near East University since 2020 and is establishing a new research group focused on operational research and integrated artificial intelligence in healthcare at the University of Sharjah.
Dr. Ozsahin's remarkable contributions have been recognized through numerous awards and grants, including the prestigious European Biotechnology Congress Prof. Maripia Viola-Magni Ebtna Best Oral Presentation Award and multiple Best Academician Awards.
