With podcasting soon to celebrate its first 20 years of history, Podcasting in the Latin World looks at the keys to podcasting's growing success and its different communicative and social functions in countries such as the US, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Cuba and Peru. Based on research carried out through dozens of in-depth interviews with the most prominent podcasters and notable case studies - from Radio Ambulante to Podium Podcast - this work presents for the first time a complete overview of the development of podcasting in the Latin world with the aim of identifying the main models and trends in this communication medium.
