Hassan A. Afyouni has been working in the information technology field as an expert for over 20 years. Hassan holds a doctorate in Higher Education. Hassan has worked as a database developer, database architect, database administrator, and data architect. Hassan has taught at several universities in Canada and the U.S., instructed as a corporate trainer for major corporations, and developed curriculum and pedagogy for various courses and programs.Hassan has authored three books and white papers on the database field specifically (Database Performance, Database Security and Auditing, and Data Warehousing).

Hassan holds Oracle Expert Certification in Real Application Cluster (RAC) Administration, EMC Proven Expert, and other certifications and training. Currently, Hassan has been working with EMC for almost 10 year. His current post is Advisory Systems Engineer specializing in Oracle as a Subject Matter Expert; his advisory services cover Turkey, East Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
