Tor House : A National Historic Landmark
In December 2024, Tor House, the home of nationally significant poet Robinson Jeffers, received National Historic Landmark designation for its unique contribution to American cultural heritage. From 1919 to 1962, Jeffers earned worldwide acclaim with the publication of eighteen books of poetry. During the same period, he designed, built, and lived in Tor House -- an extraordinary complex of uncut granite stone structures located on the Carmel coast of California. This volume reproduces the complete text and images of Tor House's National Historic Landmark nomination.
