VíctorMunoz Sanz is a Mexican-Spanish urban designer, researcher, and educator.Currently, he is an assistant professor of urban design at TU Delft, where hecoordinates and teaches urban design studios and leads critical research onproductive landscapes, urban economies, and technology. He is the author of thebook Una Rápida Compañera (Bartlebooth 2024) and co-editor of Automated Landscapes (Nieuwe Instituut, 2023), Roadside Picnics: Encounters with the Uncanny (dpr Barcelona, 2022), and Habitat: Ecology Thinking in Architecture (nai010, 2022). Víctor qualified as an architect at theSchool of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM, 2006) and holds a Master ofArchitecture in urban design, with distinction, from Harvard UniversityGraduate School of Design (2011) and a PhD cum laude in architecture fromUniversidad Politécnica de Madrid (2016). In addition to his academic work, hehas collaborated with offices such as Burgos & Garrido Arquitectos andPorras Lacasta in developing urban design projects like Madrid Río. Robbert Janvan der Veen is a Dutch urban designer and co-founder of ECHO Urban Design. Heworks on inclusive urban landscapes from the human and social perspective. Hisbest-known projects in the Netherlands are Herwaert Rotterdam, ZOHO Rotterdam,Esplanade Almere, and Happy Days Zoetermeer.
In past years, ECHO has becomeestablished in Europe with Manufacture Lausanne, Harbour Bridge Tallinn,Leppavaraa Espoo Finland, and Limeco Limmatal Zürich. Robbert Jan holds aMaster of Urban Design from TU Delft. During his studies, he co-founded anurban design firm in Rotterdam in 2006 named plein06, which grew into amultidisciplinary design office working on complex inner-city densificationassignments. The company was renamed ECHO Urban Design in 2020. In parallel,Robbert Jan has been active as a design teacher at ITU (Istanbul), UVA(Amsterdam), and most recently TU Delft. RahulMehrotra is the principal founder of RMA Architects. He divides his timebetween working in Mumbai and Boston and teaching at the Graduate School ofDesign at Harvard University where he is Professor of Urban Design and Planningand the John T. Dunlop Professor in Housing and Urbanization.
