In the first volume of the new Quotations series, leading German conceptual artist and writer Olaf Nicolai and Berlin-based writer/researcher Alexandra Heimes discuss Nicolais long-standing practice of producing printed matter as material or supplement to his work. Talking about Giro, his contribution to the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2015), Nicolai and Heimes unravel the layers of references and settings produced in his work.
