D. Michele Jackson is a registered nurse, author, and ministry storyteller whose work sits at the intersection of Scripture, justice, and the lived experiences of Black women. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, she writes with a clear, grounded voice shaped by faith, community, and a lifelong commitment to truth¿telling. Her books and podcast explore the presence of Jesus in daily life while naming the systems that harm the vulnerable - especially Black women whose stories have been overlooked, dismissed, or erased. Through her writing, teaching, and advocacy, she calls readers into a deeper awareness of God's nearness, a fuller understanding of justice, and a restored sense of dignity. Jackson is the creator of the Politically Active Nurse platform and the founder of the D. Michele Jackson Nursing Ministry, where she blends clinical insight, spiritual formation, and narrative truth to illuminate the realities faced by Black women in healthcare and beyond.
