Framing Device: the Salvador Dalí Plays
Six Paintings. Six Playwrights. Six new plays. Known for his unusual art and lifestyle, Spanish painter Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) was the world's best-known Surrealist. His trippy paintings are famous for their mind-warping imagery which launched an entire artistic movement. In an exploration of six Spanish masterworks, six playwrights have translated paintings by Dalí to the stage in Latitude Theatre's second Framing Device festival.
