For three years, Forrest Black and I (Amelia G) carved out 100 square feet of ephemeral stillness in the middle of porn industry trade shows in Las Vegas. We set up the sanctuary of our mobile portrait studio at major adult industry conventions, not to capture the spectacle, but to document the humans behind it. Into our pop-up fashion-lit space, we invited performers and creators with goth, punk, cosplay, tattoo, neon hair, and other vividly self-invented aesthetics, not to take their clothes off, but to stand in the same light, on the same backdrop, with respect and a focus on who they are. Every image is fully dressed, lit like a fashion editorial, and focused on identity rather than industry. These aren't adult photos; they are character studies. A visual yearbook of a subculture that usually exists only in fleeting social media posts, flattened and limited by algorithms. The subjects of this book are known for one kind of work, but here we present them in another context entirely. By photographing them fully dressed under controlled studio conditions, we strip away commerce without denying profession.

We reframe adult creators as the cultural figures they are rather than content outputs.
