"Three supplications are answered without doubt. The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveller, and the supplication of the parent for his child." Prophet Muhammad [Tirmidhi 3448] We cannot be with our children around the clock. Neither is it possible nor practical, as they get older, to monitor their every action, exposure, or acquaintance. However, there is someone far more powerful than us, the Knower of hearts, the All-Seeing and All-Hearing, who is even closer to our children than we are, and that is, undoubtedly, Allah. If Allah accepts just one of our du'as, this may serve as a shield for our children, steering their hearts and minds in the right direction, and inviting Allah's blessings into all areas of their lives. The great thing is that a parent's du'a has a special status and is more likely to be accepted. Allah cherishes our du'as, and they can be expressed in any language, anywhere.
