Ruth Fleury is an award-winning author, educator, and founder of Scholars of Tomorrow Publishing, where she empowers children, families, and aspiring authors to discover the joy of literacy. With over 16 years of experience in education and a deep passion for representation, Ruth is dedicated to uplifting Black and brown voices and helping communities build confidence through storytelling. Ruth is known for her empowerment and literacy workshops, blending movement, reflection, and empowerment to help students and families grow from the inside out. She is also the creator of Flourish: Transforming From Within Women's Journal, a powerful tool designed to guide women on their journey of healing, self-awareness, and personal growth. Her books-including Hyper Kid, So They Say! (winner of the Golden Wizard Book Prize) and Soup Joumou Freedom Celebration-continue to inspire readers and educators nationwide. Her storytelling extends to film through the short film Hyper Kid, based on her bestselling children's book. As a mother of two young published authors, Ruth leads by example, showing children and families everywhere that their stories matter.
