Derin Bray is an art and antique dealer and nationally recognized authority on early American furniture, folk art, and decorative arts. He received degrees from Yale University and the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture, where he first began studying the craft traditions of Hingham. He is a contributing author to Harbor & Home: Furniture of Southeastern Massachusetts, 1710-1850, and coauthor of To Please Any Taste: Litchfield County Furniture, 1780-1830.
