Jil Eaton is aninternationally acclaimed knitwear designer, known for her designs thatuniquely blend classic style with an irresistible air of whimsy. After amultifaceted art education at Skidmore College , Colby College ,and the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Jil Eaton ran her own graphic designenterprise, Small Pond Studios, for fifteen years before combining her artisticexpertise with her love of knitting. Since 1990 she has published anddistributed worldwide a collection of chic and charming hand-knitting patternsunder the Minnowknits label. A veteran knitter and designer, Jil publishes herannual collections, writes books, and regularly designs for Vogue KnittingInternational, as well as other knitting magazines. She is the author of six popularknitting books, including Minnies, AfterDark, and SimpleChic. Jil lives in Portland , Maine ,with her husband, her son, and her big dog Zachary, who even gets a sweateronce in a while.
