Anne Twist is the author of Betty and the Mysterious Visitor , illustrated by Emily Sutton. Her writing is inspired by her own family's love of reading and sharing stories. When her kids were little, she read aloud to them constantly, especially at bedtime. After the death of her husband in 2017, Anne Twist turned to writing poetry as a way of navigating her feelings of grief and loss. Her garden in the countryside of Cheshire, England, brought her peace as her craft grew and also was the place where this story first bloomed. She hopes this book becomes a favorite at bedtime for all of her readers. Visit her on Instagram @AnneTwist and on X @MrsAnneTwist. Emily Sutton is an author and illustrator of numerous picture books, including The Christmas Eve Tree by Delia Huddy as well as Tiny Creatures: The World of Microbes , Many: The Diversity of Life on Earth , and Grow: Secrets of Our DNA , all by Nicola Davies.
She draws endless inspiration for her paintings from spending time in nature accompanied by her dog muse Mouse and her nieces Penny and Sadie. Emily Sutton lives in York, England.
