Noel Fitzpatrick is a world leading orthopaedic-neuro veterinary surgeon, known for his compassionate and innovative work treating companion animals. Among his many awards of recognition of his advanced procedures, Noel holds a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the first person to successfully apply a skeletally anchored amputation prosthesis to treat a cat who had lost both of their hind legs in an accident. Professor Noel Fitzpatrick obtained his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin in 1990 and went on to set up Fitzpatrick Referrals in Surrey in 2005. Fitzpatrick first came to mainstream attention in 2010 with the television series The Bionic Vet which chronicled his work at Fitzpatrick Referrals and then in 2014 with the hugely successful series The Supervet - the soubriquet by which he is still known to this day. His previous books include three memoirs, and the bestselling Dogs and their Humans. Over the Rainbow Bridge is his first picture book.
