Jule Wellerdiek was born in Bielefeld, Germany. After studying design at Münster University of Applied Sciences, she now works as a freelance illustrator. Most days she can be found doing what she loves most: dreaming up stories and turning them into pictures--preferably with lots of weird characters and details. Jule lives in Bochum, Germany. Elisabeth Lauffer is a German-English literary translator based in the US. She received a B.A. in German Studies from Wesleyan University and a Ed.

M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has translated more than twenty books, ranging from children's and young adult literature to novels and nonfiction for adults. Born and raised in Vermont, Elisabeth Lauffer now lives in upstate New York.
