Alonso RamÍrez, and his shipmates, sails without knowing where they were or where they were going. The troubles and frights they suffered until running aground are retold. Thirst, hunger, disease, and death that aggrieved them in this coast. Unexpectedly they find Catholic folk and know themselves to be in Yucatan, on the mainland of North America. They go to Tihosuco and from there to Valladolid where they experience hardships. They arrive in MÉrida. Alonso RamÍrez returns to Valladolid and the hardships are greater.
