Frank Kleinsorgen was born in Newark New Jersey in May 1944, just days before D-Day in Europe. When he was young, he loved to hear stories told by his uncles about their adventures during the war. He could count on some hilarious stories. His uncles preferred to tell of the antics they pulled on each other rather than the horrors of the battlefield. He lived his childhood through grammar school and high school in the town of Denville New Jersey. Eventually, he would be one of six children. His parents were of working middle class who could not afford to pay for his college education. At eighteen, Frank dropped out of high school and joined the U.

S. Navy. He learned to be a Radioman and enjoyed the work. Duty stations during his twenty-year career included four ships and a tour of duty in South Vietnam. In 1999, while recovering from surgery after his return from Vietnam he met the love of his life, Darene Miller. They would wed in June 1970. They remain married to this day. They live in Maryland, sharing their life with two dogs, two donkeys, and a goat.

They are the proud parents of a son and a daughter. Their children are grown, with families of their own. The family shares a very close relationship. After the Navy, Frank worked for twenty-eight years as a systems analyst for communication and intelligence systems developed for the Warfighters. The work was fast paced and fascinating. A large part of this work required non-fictional writing. There were always test plans, test procedures, test reports, and an assortment of other related documentation. Retired life brought time to be with his children and grandchildren, and enjoy his many hobbies in full.

He wanted to try something new, so he turned his writing to fiction. His wife, Darene, encourages him to keep at it. Blending his writing into his busy lifestyle has been a challenge.
