Rowan Parker writes portal fantasy and fantasy romance. She received her PhD in Medieval and Renaissance Literature while studying Arthuriana, book history, and alchemical history at the University of Illinois and was a professor of writing and English literature for fifteen years before escaping academia to pursue her own fiction writing and other adventures. A lifelong competitive fencer, equestrian, and D&D nerd, she has been preparing to leap through a portal to Faerie her whole life. Her two cats, Gideon and Poppy, are unimpressed that she named her imprint after them.
