After failing for years to successfully address the social deterioration and aggression of the Republic to the South, the Prime Minister of the Confederation to the North devises a three-prong plan. The Confederation will (1) encourage the Republic, through an Historical Truth Commission, to rediscover its historical roots; (2) attempt to appease the destructive and consuming nature of the Republic's citizens by offering them choice products from The Damaged Goods Corporation; and (3) construct a quantum border fence that, if necessary, will close the Confederation border to the Republic. But when all hell breaks loose in the midst of the worst wildfire season ever, the best laid plans of the Prime Minister go somewhat awry.
