Following a decade of distinguished military service Robert Hood returns to the "hood" in the Rockwood section of wild and zany Venice Beach. He intends to sell his beloved grandmother's house he inherited. However, his best laid plans go awry. Since he's been gone he discovers that greedy and unscrupulous developers, a corrupt sheriff, a drug lord, and gangs have ruthlessly taken control his hometown under the umbrella of gentrification. Despite his past encounters with the sheriff, Robert can't be immobile or move elsewhere seeing his old neighborhood in disarray. Like a modern day Robin Hood (who he idolized as a child), Robert mobilizes the most eclectic band of fighters and activists to take a stand and crusade against the evil besieging their cherished community. The odds are against them, but under Robert's leadership they forge ahead to make things right.
