Bhagvad Geeta, the central theme of the Mahabharata, is a conversation between Lord Shri Krishna and his disciple Arjuna. It transpired bang on the battlefield when Arjuna lost his nerve and refused to fight the war between Kauravas and Pandavas, as a large number of participants were his relatives.Shri Krishna, in the short time before the war began, changed Arjuna's despondency into willingness to fight the war.The psychological prop provided by Shri Krishna to Arjuna became the change from refusal to fight the war to willingness to participate, not to forget the fact that God Sri Krishna was his charioteer. The lesson for each of us is to imbibe the knowledge bestowed by Krishna and willingly participate in the process of life with all its ups and downs.
