Promoting pre-orders and sales at in-person events: Author Josh Oaktree attends events year-round with Oak Tree Comics. Events leading up to book's relaunch include but are not limited to Orange County Children's Book Festival (September), LA Comic Con (October), and Jackalope Indie Artisan Craft Fairs (November and December). In the spring, sales will be promoted at a variety of events including but not limited to Culver City Book Festival, Wondercon, and the LA Times Festival of Books, amongst others. Series' relaunch: This is the second of three titles in the series that we are relaunching. Do You Speak Bee? will follow in spring of 2027. Free Educator Guide: During launch week, we will promote our free educators' guide: https://www.oaktreecomics.com/product-page/educators-guide-do-you-speak-bear Targeted library, school, and communal outreach: Do You Speak Bear? relaunches in January or three months in advance of Earth month (April 2027).
Through our social media accounts and newsletter, we will spearhead a campaign reaching out to libraries, schools, and communal organizations, incentivizing wholesale orders by offering free resources to host an Earth Day event. Launch week giveaway: As part of launch week, we will also be hosting an Art & Oakie giveaway where we will invite readers to share how they speak Bear and advocate for animals. Winners will receive a free signed book, plus a special Art & Oakie giveaway, such as a custom Oakie the oak tree plush (TBD). Book launch party at TreePeople! For Do You Speak Bear? , we've partnered with TreePeople, a local Los Angeles non-profit that fosters connections between trees and people.
