Dr. Narayanan Saranya is currently an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Bioengineering at Saveetha Engineering College, SIMATS School of Engineering, in Chennai, India. She earned her Doctoral degree in Environmental Remediation from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut. Dr. Saranya also holds an MTech in Biotechnology, where she graduated with a Gold Medal from PRIST University, and a BTech in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University. With more than 8 years of teaching experience, Dr. Saranya has made significant contributions to her field, authoring numerous technical publications in various International SCI Indexed journals. She actively serves as a reviewer for prestigious international journals, including those published by Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, and Springer Nature.


Additionally, she has contributed book chapters and edited two books on emerging contaminant remediation. Her research interests focus on the biosorption and microbial bioremediation of emerging contaminants and forever chemicals as well as effluent treatments and technologies. Dr. K. Vasantharaj is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, India. He is an active researcher with more than 12 years of teaching experience. He obtained his Doctoral Degree in the field of Environmental Biotechnology from National Institute of Technology Calicut in Kozhikode, India. He received his MTech degree in Industrial Biotechnology from SASTRA University in Thanjavur, India, and BTech degree in Biotechnology from Anna University in Chennai, India.


He has published two edited books on the bioremediation of emerging contaminants. He has authored at least 7 book chapters in standard books, and at least 10 technical publications in various International SCI Indexed journals. He also serves as a reviewer for a number of international journals. His research interests include bioremediation, bioprocessing and sustainable environment.
