Kingsley L. Ngange is Professor of Journalism and Communication Science at the University of Buea (UB), Cameroon; Fulbright Visiting African Research Scholar at the Joseph L. Brechner Freedom of Information Project, College of Journalism and Communications, University of Florida, USA; as well as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Cooperation, and Relations with the Business World, UB, Cameroon. Ngange was formerly a broadcast journalist with the Cameroon Radio Television Corporation (CRTV) and Chair of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Buea. He has served as representative of Worlds of Journalism Studies (WJS), English-speaking Cameroon, and published extensively internationally. He has close to 30 years of experience in journalism training, practice, education, management and research that spans Africa, Europe, North America and Asia . David Cuillier is Associate Professor Emeritus and Director of the Joseph L. Brechner Freedom of Information Project, College of Journalism and Communications, University of Florida, USA.


Cuillier, a former journalist, served as President of the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Freedom of Information Coalition. He is also a former Director of Journalism at the University of Arizona, USA, and is founding editor of the Journal of Civic Information. Stephen N. Ndode (Ph.D.) is Erasmus+ Scholar (Aarhus University, Denmark), Senior Lecturer, and Communication and Media Consultant in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC), University of Buea (UB), Cameroon. He is also Head of Division for Business in UB. He has been Coordinator of the Communication Research Centre of JMC since January, 2017.


Dr. Ndode founded and directs research at the International Centre for Innovations in Communication Research and Media Writing ( www.icicremw.org ). His research interests include: JMC Education and Practice, Press Freedom, Media Effects and Ethics, Theory, Methodology, and Analysis - TMA, Digital Media, Media and Conflicts, and Globalization. He has over 25 publications in these areas.
